Oppression and Destruction of A People—Part 2

Have you ever noticed that most black music stars lead very tragic lives? Think about it. They usually die prematurely or end up broke, or both. They usually get hooked on drugs or sex. Most of them develop chronic diseases that plague them most of their lives. If you don’t believe me watch the TV series called Unsung. It chronicles the painful lives of Black music stars. Celebrities like Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Rick James…and on and on and on. You have to wonder, why so much tragedy?

Think about music for a moment. Creating music is a spiritual, soulful endeavor. Music flows from the heart and touches the heart. It has been called the gateway to our spiritual essence. Songs can cheer us up or make us sad and pensive. They can be energizing. Music is made for love and war. For YAH and for Satan.

The so-called Negroes are known for our songs. People want to be entertained by our music. But we, the so-called Negro, were not created to sing and praise men or women. Nor were our voices created to just jubilate over the vanities of this corrupt world. Our voices and talents were meant to praise the Creator. Why is it that the world can hate us so and oppress us without mercy but love our music? In fact, the whole world dances to our music. Literally.

The world does not dance to Caucasian music even though Whites greatly outnumber us. The world does not dance to African music. Name for me one African music superstar? I didn’t say African-American music superstar, I am saying name me one super celebrity music maker from an African country? And by the way, what is an African American? There are Whites who were born in Africa who emigrate to the U.S. Aren’t these African Americans too? Black folk in American are always searching for a label for themselves because we have lost our heritage…someone has been plotting to cut us off from being a nation (Ps. 83:2-4). But I digress, let me finish my thoughts about music.

There are about 1.4 billion Chinese in China, yet the world does not dance to Chinese music. I have yet to see or hear of people breaking down the doors to get into a Chinese rap concert. Almost everything in popular music and in the popular culture has been co-opted from the so-called Black culture, especially when it comes to music.

Everybody wants to dance to the beat of those so-called Negroes in America. You see music is spiritual. It touches the heart and goes to the soul. There is something about Black music that everyone wants to capture. Nature abhors a vacuum and empty souls want to be filled the essence of YAH’s Spirit. And many of us still have that spirit. The spirit that the world’s wants and needs. But how can we sing songs of Zion, songs of joy in a foreign land? (Ps. 137:2-4).

There are only about 45 million Blacks in the U.S. But the world fixates on us. Why? Because we are special. YAH chose us out of all the families of the earth to be His children and His voice on earth. And we blew it. We are paying a heavy toll for our rebellion. However the dry bones are being breathed on by YAH. Even now some are waking up to understand the truth of who they are.

But many others, just like our rebellious ancestors, are rejecting the truth. They have chosen to walk in disobedience as our ancestors did. They have chosen to continue to worship gods of wood (Christianity) and gods of stone (Islam). Christians worship a Neanderthal god hanging from a wooden cross. Muslims worship two stones—the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and the Ka’ba in Mecca.

Deuteronomy 4:27 YAH will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which YAH will drive you. 28There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell. 29But if from there you seek YAH your Sovereign, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to YAH your Sovereign and obey Him. 31For YAH your Sovereign is a merciful Creator; He will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which He confirmed to them by oath.

The Bottom Line

I could quote endless statistics that tell us how bad things are for us. There is not a day that goes by when I read the news that I don’t see our people being killed or treated with extreme malice by this system. One would have to be blind not to see it. But don’t get too upset or carried away by it. For it must be…prophecy must be fulfilled. We can run from it, but we cannot hide.

Read Deuteronomy chapters 4, 15, and 28. And you will see the truth staring at you. You will understand why we cannot sing songs of Zion in this foreign land. We are the only non-immigrants in this country. Even the so-called Native American Indians came here by way of the Bering Straits. We, on the other hand, are the only folks brought over as slaves. That’s not a coincidence, that’s prophecy. Let us ask YAH for forgiveness and turn to Him and obey Him, for He has swore that if we do, He will not abandon us.

Shalom,
